“Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.” – Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
As Our One American Family is being faced with very serious challenges and dangerous risks that threaten to collapse Our Country that We Love, we each have the Opportunity to Be The Light that illuminates and brightens Our Country’s Path.
“Faith is the bird that feels the light when the dawn is still dark.” – Rabindranath Tagore
You want to be that Faithful and Faith-Filled Bird who Feels the Light of Our National Love and the Light of Our Country Reuniting even before You have seen the dawn.
A Dawn That Will Come when We BELIEVE and when We Shine Our Light For Our American People To See.
Through Our Faith, we each have the Opportunity to make the Positive Difference that Our Country and Our World needs.
When situations look their darkest, it requires us to have Faith in what we Believe, even though we cannot yet see in the world what we already Believe is There in Our Faith.
2 Corinthians 5:7 “For we walk by faith, not by sight.”
“Take the first step in Faith. You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.” – Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Hebrews 11:1 – “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.”
“Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness.” – Archbishop of Cape Town Desmond Tutu
Faith is to Believe what you do not yet see; the reward for this is to see what you Believe.” – Saint Augustine
Each of us is only one person, and because we are only one person then we often make the mistake of thinking that we cannot have the Positive Influence and Positive Effects on Our Country and on Our World that we so much Hope for and Dream for.
However, the Truth is that we each have the Power to Light our own candle that illuminates and Lights the area around us.
And as You Light the area around You, just like the Light from one flashlight that You aim up into the dark night sky, Your Personal Light will travel to the Infinity of Our Universe.
You have the Power to Shine Your Light to make the difference that spreads to other people one person at a time, until eventually the Light that began with You will be Shining Brightly across Our Entire Country and Around Our World.
As much as the pandemic caused many hardships for so many people, it does teach us that something which begins in one person can eventually spread around Our World and across Our Country.
The pandemic was more difficult to spread because it required people to be physically present near someone before it could spread between us.
While Your Light is far easier to Spread to other people because Your Light will Shine when You are physically with someone, and Your Light will also shine in the kind words that you speak, in the thoughtful words that you write, in the loving smile that you give to others, and in all your kind and thoughtful and loving social media posts and videos that can reach many millions of people within minutes and hours.
“I am only one, but I am one. I cannot do everything, but I can do something. And because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do something that I can do.” – Edward Everett Hale
“As we let our light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence actually liberates others.” – Marianne Williamson
“Give light and people will find the way.” – Ella Baker
“If you have knowledge. Let others light their candles in it.” – Margaret Fuller
Throughout Our Religious Books, from The Bible to The Quran, God and Our Religious Leaders speak of The Light.
The Bible states in Genesis 1:1 – “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, ‘Let there be light’, and there was light.”
The Verse of Light in the Quran states, “God is the Light of the heavens and the earth.”
Our Religious Leaders also speak about us allowing Our Light To Shine For the Benefit of other People.
Prophet Muhammad’s Prayer of Light
O God, give me light in my heart
And light in my tongue
And light in my hearing
And light in my sight
And light in my feeling
And light in my body
And light before me
And light behind me.
Give me, I pray,
Light on my right hand
And light on my left hand
And light above me
And light beneath me.
O God, increase light within me
And give me light
And illuminate me.
Matthew 5:16 – “In the same way, let your light shine before others.”
Buddha – “If you light a lamp for somebody, it will also brighten your path.”
As we see the many Challenges that lay in front of us and in front of Our Country and Our World, we each as individuals have three possible choices we can make.
Our three options are:
- 1. We can choose to ignore the problems and just hope they go away… even though we know deep inside of us that this strategy will not work because the challenges and threats currently facing Our Country, including extreme division and polarization between us, multiple wars going on that we are involved in, our economy $35 trillion in debt and increasing in more debt rapidly, tens of millions of immigrants being paid for by our economy that cannot afford it, and very difficult financial situations for a large percentage of our population, along with many additional adversities, have become far too serious for these problems to go away on their own without new decisions being made and a renewed effort by Our American People and by Our American Leaders.
- 2. We can do what many people in our divided America are currently doing, which is to dismiss and condemn the viewpoints that are different from our own, and put ourselves right in the middle of the fight as we take swings at each other and tear Our Country apart… even though we know deep inside of us that fighting is only going to continue to divide Our American People until Our Country has collapsed and is gone, taken over by some other group of people from some other country, reducing us and our families to peasants within our own land, and reducing us and our children to less than citizens in someone else’s country.
3. Or You and We Can Become the Light.
We may think that Our American People and Our Country are past the point of being able to see the Light. However, Our Light is always there deep inside within each one of us.
Throughout Our American History, there have been times when other people and other countries have expected Our Light to flicker.
But Our Light never goes out and is never extinguished.
Because ultimately in our core of being, we are a Positive and Optimistic People who all came to Our American Shores with Hopes and Dreams For A Better Life For Ourselves And For Our Families.
A Positive and Optimistic People Who All Believed and Trusted In The Beauty Of Our American Dream.
As a result, Our Dream and Our Light are genetically powered within Each One of Us and will never go away.
Our Combined American Ancestry and Genetics that is within Each One of Us is Always Going To Find A Way to Shine Our Light.
Our Light is Always there just waiting to be set free again and released into the Universe to illuminate and brighten Our Life, Our Family, Our Country, and Our World again.
“Deep in their roots, all flowers keep the light.” – Theodore Roethke
“There is a crack in everything. That’s how the light gets in.” – Leonard Cohen
And God said, “Let there be light”, and there was light.
Therefore, now that we know we are always going to choose to Shine and Share Our Light because that is Who We Are, then the question becomes, “How do we do this?”
In the middle of the present challenges and difficulties, “How do we Shine Our Light?”
The answer lies in the intelligence and words of our ancestors.
“There are two ways of spreading light: to be the candle or the mirror that reflects it.” – Edith Wharton
“A candle loses nothing when it lights another candle.” – President Thomas Jefferson
“Simply shine your light on the road ahead, and you are helping others to see their way out of the darkness.” – Katrina Mayer
“A smile is the light in your window that tells others that there is a caring, sharing person inside.” – Denis Waitley
“Nothing can dim the light that shines from within.” – Maya Angelou
“People are like stained-glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within.” – Elisabeth Kubler-Ross
“Light must come from inside. You cannot ask the darkness to leave; you must turn on the light.” – Sogyal Rinpoche
“Give light, and the darkness will disappear of itself.” – Desiderius Erasmus
And then when we have enlightened Our Today, grab hold of this Light to Light Our Tomorrow with Even More People Joining Us.
In the chapter I wrote on our website and in our book, titled, “You Become What You BELIEVE You Can Become”,
I discussed the Staircase of Self-Belief where each higher step You Achieve becomes the new Foundation for Your Higher Level of Self-Belief.
The spreading of Your Light to More and More People Every Day is Accomplished in this same way as You continue to move up and climb Your Staircase to a Higher and Higher Level.
“Light tomorrow with today,” said Elizabeth Barrett Browning
“When you rise in the morning, give thanks to the light, for your life, for your strength. Give thanks for your food and for the joy of living.” – Tecumseh
And if you are moved to do so, then Join With Us In Our Movement to Turn on Our Light Together so that We Will Shine Our Unified Light Together Across Our Nation and Around Our World.
So that Together We Will Lift Up Our American People and Build A Wonderful and Incredible World For You And For All Our Children.
We Can Do This And We Will Do This!
We BELIEVE For America!
